UFC Fight Night 52: Hunt drops Nelson with second-round KO
It was vintage Mark Hunt on Saturday night in Saitama, Japan.
The 40-year-old heavyweight showed little rust after a layoff that lasted just over 10 months. After a competitive first round against fellow slugger Roy Nelson, Hunt became the first man to finish "Big Country" inside the Octagon after dropping his opponent with a hard right uppercut at the 3:00 mark of the second round.
The best part? Hunt says he wants to fight again on Nov. 7 when the UFC touches down in Sydney, Australia.
UFC Fight Night 52 also saw lightweight Myles Jury earn a first-round TKO finish of Japanese MMA icon Takanori Gomi and the returning Yoshihiro Akiyama earned his second win in the UFC with a convincing unanimous decision victory over Amir Sadollah.
