The uncrowned queen of the women's featherweight division could be coming for her throne soon.

A bout between 145-lb champion Germaine de Randamie and Cris Cyborg is in the works for UFC 214 on July 29 in Anaheim, Calif., according to a report from MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani. This will be De Randamie's first defense of the title she won in February by defeating Holly Holm.

Helwani's tweet also touched upon a rumored grudge match between UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones.

Cyborg herself appeared to confirm the news on Tuesday, expressing her excitement about the booking via Twitter:

The UFC has yet to make an official statement about the fight.

De Randamie's status has been up in the air since winning her title. The 32-year-old said she was expecting to undergo hand surgery sometime this year, though no timetable has been set for the procedure. The delay has caused Cyborg to become frustrated with both the champion and the UFC's matchmakers, and she recently asked for her release if the situation is not sorted out soon.

After running roughshod over the featherweight division for years, Cyborg debuted with the UFC in 2016 by winning a pair of 140-lb catchweight bouts. She's declared that she will only fight at 145 pounds from now on, and her goal is to either take De Randamie's belt or welcome Invicta FC champion Megan Anderson to the Octagon.

Cyborg owns a 17-1 record with one no-contest and has not lost a fight since making her professional MMA debut in May 2005.
