Rousey working with nutrition coach, nature of partnership uncertain

Mark J. Rebilas / USA TODAY

A strength and nutrition trainer has thickened the already nebulous plot surrounding Ronda Rousey's future.

Since being obliterated by Amanda Nunes in 48 seconds at UFC 207, the former women's bantamweight champ has offered little to no indication as to whether she'll strap on the gloves again, although nutritionist Dan Garner revealed "Rowdy" has "joined the team" in a Tuesday Instagram post:

The post's caption is quite vague, and while Garner announced Rousey was "all set for the comprehensive nutritional programming process," he could just as easily have enlisted the former champ as an ambassador to his ventures.

According to Bloody Elbow's Tim Burke, Garner has worked with a number of fighters on the regional scene, but with many - namely UFC president Dana White - deeming a potential return to the Octagon unlikely, chances are Rousey's fighting career will remain on ice.
