Holm's manager holding out for De Randamie rematch

Holly Holm and her team have a decision to make.

"The Preacher's Daughter" has an offer to fight Ji Yeon Kim in June at UFC Fight Night 111 in Singapore, but Holm's manager, Lenny Fresquez, told Steven Marrocco of MMAjunkie he hasn't spoken to his client yet about whether she should accept it.

Were it up to Fresquez, Holm would get a rematch with Germaine de Randamie. Their fight at UFC 208 for the inaugural women's featherweight championship ended with De Randamie winning a controversial unanimous decision.

Following the bout, Holm's team filed an appeal over what they perceived to be illegal blows landed after the bell in Rounds 2 and 3, but the appeal was dismissed by the New York State Athletic Commission.

While both fighters mentioned the possibility of an immediate rematch, the situation has been clouded by De Randamie saying she needs surgery to take care of a lingering hand injury. The lack of clarity surrounding the surgery is why Fresquez is hesitant to have Holm commit to the Kim fight rather than wait for De Randamie.

"(The UFC) hasn't been able to see what's going on with (De Randamie's) hand," Fresquez said. "They don't know if she's having surgery, if she's not having surgery."

Even if De Randamie decides to fight sooner rather than later, a meeting with presumptive 145-pound queen Cris Cyborg could be in the cards, leaving Holm to take a fight with Kim or another opponent.
