Melvin Manhoef is going to get another shot at Bellator middleweight champion Rafael Carvalho in Italy after all.

Two months after Manhoef received the unfortunate news that his title rematch with Carvalho at Bellator 168 in Florence would be canceled due to a Carvalho injury, the promotion has rescheduled them to compete at Bellator 176 on April 8 in Torino.

The rematch was announced by Bellator through a press release Monday.

Manhoef previously challenged Carvalho for his belt at Bellator 155 last May after an uneventful fight that Carvalho eked out by split decision. The score was met with much controversy, prompting matchmakers to work towards pairing them up again as soon as possible.

In 46 professional fights, Manhoef owns 28 victories by knockout. Despite stints with Dream, Strikeforce, and ONE FC, the 40-year-old Dutchman has never won a major MMA title.

Carvalho won the Bellator middleweight title with a second-round TKO of Brandon Halsey in October 2015. He is currently 4-0 inside the Bellator cage and 13-1 overall.
