UFC announces June return to Singapore

Gregory J. Fisher / USA TODAY

The UFC is headed back to Singapore.

On Wednesday, the promotion announced it will return to the country for the first time in over three years with a UFC Fight Night at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on June 17. The event marks the UFC's first trip to Asia and its sixth abroad of 2017.

No bouts have been attached to the card as of yet.

The last Octagon sighting in Singapore came in January 2014 with UFC Fight Night 34, with Tarec Saffiedine viciously chopping away at Hyun Gyu Lim's legs en route to a five-round decision in the welterweight headliner, and Tatsuya Kawajiri submitting Sean Soriano via second-round rear-naked choke in the featherweight co-main event.
