Conor McGregor is holding on tight to his belts and his wallet.

"The Notorious" has filed a petition for a judicial review of the $150,000 fine that he was issued by the Nevada State Athletic Commission this past October, according to Steven Marrocco of MMAjunkie, citing Clark County civil court records. The fine was in reaction to McGregor's involvement in a chaotic melee at a press conference for UFC 202.

Shortly after that punishment was handed down, McGregor declared that he would simply avoid fighting in Nevada and wished the NSAC "good luck" in collecting the fine. Now it appears that he and his legal team are making an official complaint, with the commission and executive director Bob Bennett named as respondents.

McGregor's fine was determined by a panel of commissioners who eventually settled on a monetary figure derived from five percent of the fighter's disclosed pay for his rematch with Nate Diaz, the other party involved in the press conference incident. Diaz is still awaiting his hearing with the panel.

The reigning lightweight champion can add this petition to his current disagreement with the UFC over his status as a dual-division titleholder. According to a press release, McGregor agreed to relinquish his featherweight belt to free it up for the rest of the division, but the fighter himself has said that nothing has changed and he still considers himself to be the champion of two weight classes.
