UFC confirms Thompson-Woodley for New York card

Tyron Woodley will defend his welterweight title against Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson at UFC 205 in New York on Nov. 12.

The promotion confirmed the fight, along with a lightweight matchup between Jim Miller and Thiago Alves, during UFC Fight Night 95 on Saturday.

The Woodley-Thompson fight has been on the docket since the champ announced his opponent last week.

Woodley enters his first title defense on a three-fight win streak, while Thompson is coming off a dismantling of Rory MacDonald (who's since signed with Bellator) in June.
