McGregor, Diaz facing sanctions for melee at pre-UFC 202 conference

Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz could soon be disciplined for their antics at a pre-rematch press conference last month.

According to ESPN's Brett Okamoto, both fighters are facing suspensions and/or fines, thanks to individual complaints filed by the Nevada Attorney General's office.

The shenanigans that bred the complaints occurred just three days before their UFC 202 bout.

McGregor strode into the conference a half hour late, prompting Diaz and his team to leave in the middle of the proceedings.

Both fighters hurled insults, then water bottles and energy drinks, at each other on Diaz's way out, with the Stockton, Calif. native's team also joining in the ruckus. The incident was quickly brought under control by security.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission has yet to book a date for either fighter's hearing.
