Maia, Condit on weight for UFC Vancouver main event

All but one fighter made weight at Friday's early weigh-ins for UFC on FOX 21, including headlining welterweights Demian Maia and Carlos Condit, according to MMAjunkie.

Even more encouraging for the promotion had to be the success of co-main event participants Anthony Pettis and Charles Oliveira. Pettis, a former lightweight champion, came in at 146 pounds for his first-ever fight at featherweight.

Oliveira was even lighter at 143 pounds, a pleasant surprise for a fighter who had previously missed the featherweight mark on three occasions.

Lightweight Chad Laprise was the only fighter to miss weight, coming in three pounds over the limit. He will be fined 20 percent of his purse, which will go to his opponent Thibault Gouti.

UFC on FOX 21 takes place at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver on Saturday.
