White entertains UFC card in Russia, Nurmagomedov in main event

The UFC may soon add Russia to its growing list of international markets.

Promotion president Dana White is entertaining the notion of hosting an event in Russia, with native son and top-ranked lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov as its headliner.

"Let me give Khabib some love, Khabib has been blowing me up and I haven't really given Khabib any information, but obviously, Khabib in Russia - that wouldn't be a bad idea," White said on the UFC's Unfiltered podcast on Tuesday.

While his latest brainchild isn't close to bearing fruit just yet, White's aspirations aren't far fetched.

Not only would Nurmagomedov draw a sizeable audience in his home country, the card would be bolstered by the promotion's healthy contingent of Russian fighters, which boasts Ruslan and Rashid Magomedov and Ali Bagautinov, to name a few.

White also revealed he plans to take his web series "Looking for a Fight" to Russia in the future.
