Hawks' Howard, Vin Diesel among decorated crew at UFC event

When Dwight Howard signed with his hometown Atlanta Hawks the first week of July, the towering big man stressed the importance of family.

Few know the value of family more than Vin Diesel, who used the term liberally during the first seven The Fast and the Furious films, and is likely to do so for the eighth tale when it's released in April 2017.

Makes sense that Howard and members of the film franchise would cross paths in Atlanta at UFC 201, with the former Orlando Magic center posing for a photo with Fast 8 director F. Gary Gary and actors Diesel and Tyrese.

Fellow Atlanta native and rap artist 2 Chainz also made an appearance for the star-studded picture - the motley crew was in attendance for Tyron Woodley's welterweight victory over Robbie Lawler.

Woodley, 34, is nearing the end of his fighting career with one eye on post-retirement plans after playing a bit part in 2015's Straight Outta Compton, which was directed by Gary.

Small world.
