Mousasi booked to fight Belfort in England
Gegard Mousasi wasn't trolling after all.
The 30-year-old will fight Vitor Belfort at middleweight at UFC 204 on Oct. 8. The bout has been confirmed by Combate and MMA Fighting.
Mousasi is riding a two-fight win streak and earned a Performance of the Night bonus for his KO of Thiago Santos at UFC 200. He had "announced" the bout with Belfort on Twitter just a few weeks ago before quickly shooting it down, quipping "April Fools came early."
As for Belfort, "The Phenom" will look to avoid consecutive losses after being TKO'd by Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza in May.
The event will take place in Manchester, England, so it shouldn't be long before the fate of the rumored title fight between Michael Bisping, a Manchester native, and Dan Henderson is announced.
