Nunes: Shevchenko hasn't earned title shot yet

Not everyone was blown away by Valentina Shevchenko's dominant performance against Holly Holm at UFC on FOX 20 on Saturday.

UFC women's bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes tweeted following the conclusion of the bout that she'd best Shevchenko again if the two were to meet in a rematch. Nunes won her bout with Shevchenko in March at UFC 196 via unanimous decision, earning herself a shot at then-champion Miesha Tate in her next fight.

Nunes then dismissed Shevchenko further, saying the bantamweight contender needs to do more to earn a title shot and proposing a fight between Shevchenko and fellow contender Julianna Pena.

Shevchenko responded by saying that Nunes was "scared" to grant her a rematch.

Nunes has no shortage of willing opponents. Along with Shevchenko and Pena, former champion Ronda Rousey will be granted a title shot upon her return, and Tate stated her intent on earning a rematch with Nunes after surrendering the belt at UFC 200.
