Lesnar failed in-competition drug test at UFC 200

The United States Anti-Doping Agency informed the UFC on Tuesday that Brock Lesnar failed an in-competition drug test taken July 9 at UFC 200, according to a statement from the promotion.

The news comes in the wake of last Friday's announcement that Lesnar failed an out-of-competition test from June 28.

According to the statement, both positive tests are the result of the same substance. That rules out recreational drugs, which aren't tested out of competition.

After a four-and-a-half-year layoff, Lesnar made a successful return to the Octagon at UFC 200, defeating Mark Hunt by unanimous decision.

Hunt was incensed at the news of the first failed test, and has demanded Lesnar forfeit his entire purse to him. There's also the possibility that the fight will be overturned to a disqualification win for Hunt, according to USADA policy:

An Anti-Doping Policy Violation occurring during, or in connection with, a bout may, upon the decision of UFC, lead to disqualification of all of the athlete's results obtained in that bout with all consequences, including, without limitation, forfeiture of title, ranking, purse, or other compensation ...

The former UFC heavyweight champion Lesnar has bristled at the suggestion that his impressive physique is the result of any banned substances.

Prior to UFC 200, Lesnar responded to a question about any potential wrongdoing by saying: "I'm a white boy and I'm jacked. Deal with it."
