Silva will take extended break from UFC

UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva announced Monday that he will take an extended break from fighting. "I'm on vacation from fighting. I will come back at the end of [2013]."

Silva said he will use the time to work on business ventures, including his role in an upcoming movie.

UFC was rumoured to be considering a superfight between Silva and welterweight title holder Georges St. Pierre. Before such a superfight can even be discussed, GSP will face Carlos Condit this Saturday in UFC 154.
