Canadian Claude Patrick out of UFC 149 with injury
CALGARY - Add Canadian welterweight Claude (The Prince) Patrick to the long list of fighters forced to withdraw from UFC 149 in Calgary due to injury.
Brian Ebersole, who is coming off a June 22 decision over T.J. Waldburger, has agreed to step in for the fighter from Mississauga, Ont., against James Head.
Other fighters who have fallen off the July 21 card at Calgary's Scotiabank Saddledome are featherweight champion Jose Aldo, heavyweight Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, light-heavyweight Thiago Silva, middleweight Michael Bisping, welterweights Thiago Alves, Yoshihiro Akiyama and Siyar Bahadurzada, featherweight George Roop, and bantamweight Bibano Fernandes.
