Today’s “The MMA Show with Mauro Ranallo” featured an interview with Derek Brunson, who lost a controversial split decision to UFC veteran Kendall Grove at the ShoFIGHTS 20 event on Saturday.
“He came out real aggressive and walked right into my takedowns. Every time he came out real aggressive, I just took him down. Each time I took him down in the first and the second, I kept him down for at least three out of the five minutes. The fight definitely wasn’t pretty, but I took the fight on four days notice, made the weight in three days and pretty much took the fight to him. The only round I would have given him was the third.”
