Bernadel and Mokdad confirmed for Score Fighting Series
Two more fights have been approved for the Score Fighting Series October 14 card in Hamilton. Stephane Bernadel has been confirmed as the opponent for Will Romero and Extreme Couture’s Misha Cirkunov will face Ali "The Monster" Mokdad in a light heavyweight affair.
Bernadel (7-3) is a dangerous striker and fights out of the Ottawa Academy of Martial Arts (OAMA). Many are predicting a slugfest for this match-up with Bernadel notching four of his wins via TKO and Romero also showing a predisposition to settle things on the feet. Romero (6-3) trains just outside of Hamilton at Iron Tiger Muay Thai and is coming off a win at Bellator's summer event at Casino Rama over Daniel Langbeen.
Cirkunov (4-1) is an incredible physical specimen and has long been discussed as a “one to watch” having won a number of national and international grappling titles before making the transition to MMA. After being submitted in his second fight versus rising star Roy Boughton, Cirkunov has won his last three fights in definitive fashion. Mokdad shares a 4-1 record with Cirkunov as well as being a highly skilled ground fighter. He has competed at both 205 and 185 in the past with all four of his victories coming via rear naked choke. “The Monster” trains out of the Maximum Training Centre in Windsor, Ontario.
Tickets for the October 14th event at Hamilton Place Theatre will range from $30 to $65 and are on sale now through ticketmaster.ca and the Copps Coliseum box office. The event will be shown live on theScore.com and air on theScore Television Network via tape delay.
