LA Galaxy striker Robbie Keane will miss four-to-six weeks of action as he recovers from an operation on his right knee, the club announced Thursday.
Keane, 35, picked up the injury prior to a pair of friendlies in March and underwent surgery in Los Angeles. Ireland manager Martin O'Neill is hopeful Keane will be healthy in time for the 2016 European Championships this summer.
Keane posted a photo of his leg on Instagram following surgery:
Keane has been the LA Galaxy's top scorer for the past four seasons.
