Major League Soccer's LA Galaxy is reportedly targeting Joleon Lescott, but he won't leave Aston Villa.

After it was reported that Lescott has drawn interest from the Galaxy, Villa's manager Remi Garde poured cold water on the possibility of the English centre-back crossing the Atlantic, insisting he'll stay put at Villa Park for now.

"Not at the moment," said Garde when asked whether Lescott would move. "Joleon is a big part of the team, he is the captain of the team and he is playing every game."

According to Amy Lewis of Sky Sports, the Galaxy offered Lescott a three-year contract.

Lescott joined Villa on a two-year deal from rival West Bromwich Albion last summer, and he recently assumed the club's captaincy after Micah Richards was dropped to the bench. Through 14 Premier League appearances this season, he's averaging five clearances, three interceptions, and one tackle per game.
