Canada released its 23-man squad for the upcoming 2018 World Cup qualifiers, with Toronto FC midfielder Jonathan Osorio a notable absentee.

Manager Benito Floro announced his team for the matches against Honduras (Nov. 13) and El Salvador (Nov. 17) as Canada embarks on its next qualification cycle.

The 23-year-old Osorio, whose status is rising in Major League Soccer, has already made 13 appearances for his country. Yet Floro excluded him for a second straight time.

Osorio had a breakout year of sorts this season with Toronto, starting in 26 matches and providing a career-high seven assists.
