Sebastian Giovinco, standing a mere 5-foot-3, towers above the rest of Major League Soccer.

The Toronto FC superstar, who arrived from Juventus last summer amid much fanfare, was crowned as the top scorer in MLS on Sunday after the conclusion of the final slate of regular-season matches confirmed the pint-sized attacker as the Golden Boot winner.

Giovinco, 28, found the net 22 times this season and led the beleaguered Canadian franchise to the first playoff appearance in its dreary nine-year history. However, Toronto FC's star forward actually won the award by virtue of his superior playmaking ability.

The Italian international finished tied with Columbus Crew striker Kei Kamara in the scoring chart, but held the assist tiebreaker, notching 16 helpers to Kamara's eight.

Giovinco, with his hardware freshly in tow, will look to make history once more when he and his teammates meet the Montreal Impact in the first round of the MLS Cup Playoffs on Thursday.
