Kaka: 'You could say that I was the last Ballon d'Or winner to have been born on this planet'

Kaka is under the popular impression that Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are not from Earth.

In an interview with Juan I. Garcia-Ochoa from Marca that revolved around his time at Real Madrid, the Brazilian icon was asked how he reflected on the Ballon d'Or award he won in 2007, following a season in which he was the engine behind AC Milan's seventh Champions League title, scoring 10 goals and setting up Filippo Inzaghi's winner in the final.

Not since then has the Ballon d'Or award been assigned to anyone who isn't Ronaldo or Messi.

"Ronaldinho, Cristiano, Messi and myself are the only Ballon d'Or winners who are still playing," Kaka said. "It fills me with pride to stand alongside these great players, and to be the last player to have won the award before Messi and Ronaldo. You could say that I was the last Ballon d'Or winner to have been born on this planet."

At Orlando City SC, Kaka has tallied nine goals and four assists through 25 appearances in his first season with the club.
