The Montreal Impact announced Wednesday that the club expects a sellout crowd of 20,801 for Saturday's match against the Philadelphia Union - a match that will see Didier Drogba make his debut for the Impact.

Supporters of the Canadian outfit snapped up all remaining tickets in order to see Drogba make his first official and unofficial league and team appearance. The former Chelsea man has already been embraced by the city of Montreal since his arrival in July and is set to feature against the Union at Stade Saputo.

"We are very pleased to announce this first sold-out match since our Champions League final," Richard Legendre, the club's executive vice-president, said in a statement. "Fans who might not have the chance to be at the stadium on Saturday will still have five more games they can attend until the end of the season."

The last time Montreal sold-out Stade Saputo was in the team's Champions League final encounter against Mexican outfit Club America earlier in the year. Montreal also packed 60,860 at the Olympic Stadium in 2012 against the LA Galaxy.

The club announced that Drogba is expected to start up top for Montreal on Saturday.

Drogba was eligible for selection against D.C. United but was rested. The 37-year-old Ivory Coast international has been working towards fitness since departing Stamford Bridge at the end of the 2014-15 Premier League season.
