Major League Soccer may have just wrapped up its most recent season, but the 2015 campaign is just over three months away.

On Friday, MLS announced that the new season will kick off on March 6, when the Los Angeles Galaxy begin their title defense as they host the Chicago Fire at the Stubhub Centre.

Furthermore, the home openers for each of the league's 20 franchises were published, providing a sense of what the schedule will look like for the first few weeks of the season.

Of note is that the league's two expansion franchises will meet in Week 1 as Orlando City SC is slated to host New York City FC at the Orlando Citrus Bowl on March 8. NYCFC, meanwhile, will wait until March 15 for their home opener against the New England Revolution at Yankee Stadium.

As a result of renovations to BMO Field, Toronto FC will be forced to wait until Week 10 of the season for their home opener against the Houston Dynamo.
