The speculation is over. Thierry Henry has made his decision.

The 37-year-old, whose MLS career came to an end in Saturday's 2-2 draw against the New England Revolution in the Eastern Conference final, is yet to confirm if he will seek out another club to continue his playing career.

Henry joined the Red Bulls in the summer of 2010 after leaving Barcelona, and after four-and-a-half seasons with the club, leaves having established himself as the greatest attacker in its history. The Frenchman sits at or near the top of almost every offensive category, with his list of accomplishments as an MLS player befitting his remarkable career.

A sampling from his 122 matches with New York, and where his totals rank in club history:

  • Goals: 51 - Second
  • Assists: 42 - First
  • Game-winning goals: 14 - First
  • Game-winning assists: 11 - First
  • Shots: 361 - First
  • Shots on goal: 137 - Second

The Arsenal legend, who has been rumored to be mulling a return to the Gunners in a technical role, was full of praise for the club and its supporters in his parting message.

"I have immensely enjoyed my four and half years here and would like to thank everyone involved with this club who has made my time here so enjoyable," he said in a statement.

"A special mention must go to the Redbull fans who have supported this team through the good, the bad and the ugly times in the sun, rain and snow. You guys have really meant a lot to me and thank you for all your wonderful support."
