New England Revolution advance to MLS Cup final
USA TODAY Sports / Winslow Townson
The New England Revolution are off to their fifth MLS Cup final after beating the New York Red Bulls 4-3 on aggregate following a 2-2 draw at Gillette Stadium on Saturday.
Charlie Davies was the hero when his 70th minute equaliser, his second of the match, gave the hosts the advantage.
Even though it's New England's fifth trip to the finals, the 19-year-old club is still in search of its first MLS title.
Tim Cahill and Peguy Luyindula were the goal scorers for New York.
The final will be played Dec. 7 against either the Seattle Sounders or L.A. Galaxy.
