MLS Game Summary - Colorado at Chivas USA

Carson, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Chivas USA picked up its second consecutive win on Saturday, coming from behind to get a 2-1 victory over the Colorado Rapids at the StubHub Center.

The Goats went 12 matches without a league win until they edged Real Salt Lake, 1-0, last time out, but they managed to keep their roll going by overturning a one-goal deficit on home soil Saturday to climb out of the Western Conference cellar.

Colorado jumped in front at the half-hour mark when Charles Eloundou slipped a through ball into the path of an unmarked John Neeskens, who fired a first- time shot past Dan Kennedy at the near post.

The Rapids maintained the lead until the 65th minute when Kristopher Tyrpak darted through the Colorado defense and slotted a shot past Clint Irwin for his first career goal.

It appeared as though the two sides were destined to split the points, but Felix Borja nodded home a helper from Akira Kaji in the 85th minute to hand the home side the victory.

The win sees Chivas (8-18-6) improve to 30 points on the season to move up to eighth place in the West, two points back of Colorado (8-16-8).
