Two saves through 36 minutes was all Clint Irwin managed on Friday night.

In the first half of the scoreless draw between Toronto FC and Sporting Kansas City at BMO Field, Irwin came off his line to make a stop but ended up going down in pain, clutching his knee.

He was subsequently replaced by Alex Bono.

Irwin, who suffered a quad injury last year during the summer, was making his third appearance of the Major League Soccer season after tallying a clean sheet in TFC's scoreless draw at Real Salt Lake and playing in the Canadian club's 2-2 draw away to the Philadelphia Union.

Friday's contest at a rainy BMO Field finished goalless.
