Larin brace seals Orlando victory in Philadelphia tilt

Logan Bowles-USA TODAY Sports

Orlando City owes Cyle Larin credit for securing all three points against the Philadelphia Union with the Canada forward scoring a pair of goals that gave the Lions a second consecutive victory at Orlando City Stadium.

Larin scored the opening goal off a Carlos Rivas cross with a cool-as-you-like tap in that marked his second goal of the season. C.J. Sapong then notched a goal of his own to level the score off a bit of interplay between himself, Alejandro Bedoya, and Fabian Herbers.

But Larin made sure Orlando didn't go down without a fight, scoring a 73rd-minute strike to restore the lead at 2-1.

Philadelphia will feel hard done by with the result, as Ilsinho was denied by the post late on; Orlando goalkeeper Joe Bendik was also forced into making a huge save at the end of the match to preserve his side's slender lead.
