Watch: Elis hits the half-volley to score his 1st MLS goal
Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports
Welcome to Major League Soccer, Alberth Elis.
Houston Dynamo's new Honduran attacker scored his first goal in MLS in tremendous fashion, hitting a half-volley while unmarked on a corner kick to give his team a 2-0 lead over the Columbus Crew.
One has to wonder what the Crew defenders were thinking on the play, as the cluster of players separated, leaving Elis all by his lonesome. But, frankly, Houston fans won't care one bit.
