Orlando's Kaka leaves season debut early with apparent hamstring injury

Orlando City's 2017 season started in misfortune as captain Kaka picked up an apparent left hamstring injury and was removed from play in the first 11 minutes of the match. The Brazilian was replaced by newcomer Giles Barnes.
It looked like Kaka picked up the injury as he made his way into the New York City FC box; while there wasn't much contact with the players around him, he did stop his run somewhat awkwardly.
It's just the latest in a series of injuries that have hampered the Ballon D'Or winner; Kaka suffered a groin injury in each of his last two seasons with the Lions, along with muscle, thigh, and leg injuries that have seen him miss more than 80 days and 12 matches over the last two years.
