Long has Providence Park stood a fortress for the Portland Timbers, but on Friday night, the 2015 MLS Cup-winning club welcomed a new and unfamiliar foe in Minnesota United.
Fans of the expansion outfit made the roughly 1,700-mile journey to Portland for their club's first match in MLS, having supported the Loons through thick and thin in the lower division of NASL since 2010.
Welcome to the big leagues.
