Former Ireland captain Robbie Keane was photographed training with United Arab Emirates side Al-Ahli on Monday, as he prepares for the next destination in his career.

Since leaving the LA Galaxy in November and becoming a free agent, the 36-year-old has been linked with a plethora of teams from all over the globe, even Australia.

But the Arabian Gulf League seems to be beckoning Keane, and last year's champion Al-Ahli, which currently sits fourth in the league, tweeted out pictures of the ex-Leeds United star in training.

The caption on the tweet reads: "Irish star Robbie Keane participates in the morning drills."

Keane made his professional debut for Wolverhampton Wanderers when he was 17 years old, scoring twice, which would prove to be a common occurrence in the years to come.

On the club level, he enjoyed stints at some of the biggest clubs in Europe, including Wolves, Coventry, Inter Milan, Leeds, Tottenham, Liverpool, Celtic, West Ham, and LA Galaxy.

He officially retired from international duty in 2016, holding the Ireland's goal-scoring record with 68 in 146 appearances.
