Dempsey revels in Seattle's MLS victory: 'Portland can't say s---'

Seattle Sounders forward icon Clint Dempsey didn't miss his chance to take a quick jab at Portland following the Rave Green's lifting of the MLS Cup on Saturday.

Although the ex-Premier League man didn't play in any of the 2016 playoff games - due to an irregular heartbeat - he couldn't refrain from speaking out about his neighboring-state rivals:

Dempsey had to sit and watch as Portland hoisted the cup last year for the first time in franchise history, effectively claiming the title as the best team in the north-west.

Seattle was able to replicate the feat this year, beating Toronto FC on penalties to claim the MLS crown.

Portland couldn't continue the success train it established last year, finishing seventh in the standings, one spot outside playoff contention.
