Dress warm.

Toronto FC will not only be taking part in its first MLS Cup final next week, the Canadian club will also be hosting the league's marquee contest.

Wednesday's 5-2 victory over the Montreal Impact secured the Reds' spot in the Dec. 10 showpiece, and by virtue of crafting a better regular season record than the Western Conference champion Seattle Sounders, it will be Sebastian Giovinco and company that enjoy the comforts of BMO Field.

It's the second time the stadium has served as the venue for the MLS Cup, following the 2010 edition between the Colorado Rapids and FC Dallas.

This one pits two expansion franchises that came into the league within two years of each other. Though the Sounders existed prior to its MLS days, they officially became a top-tier outfit in 2009.

TFC arrived on the North American soccer scene in 2007.

The only difference is that Seattle's made the playoffs in all eight years of its MLS existence, while Toronto's only on its second postseason run.

Neither had made the final before - until now.
