Toronto FC left full-back Justin Morrow scored an early goal and Sebastian Giovinco recorded an assist as the Reds dispatched last-place Chicago Fire at BMO Field on Saturday, leaving the Atomic Ant still agonized over his goal drought.

Giovinco attempted 13 shots but placed just one on target as his scoring slump rolled on to seven consecutive league matches. Morrow, meanwhile, scored his second goal in his last three games to deliver all three points for the home side.

The Italian nearly found the back of the net in the 70th minute with this free-kick effort, but his shot went just wide of goalkeeper Sean Johnson's right post.

The win moves Toronto FC into fifth in the Eastern Conference, tied with the New York Red Bulls with 23 points, while Chicago stays firmly rooted to the conference basement with 14 points in 16 matches.

The loss also marked two whole years since the Chicago Fire last won a road game, with a 1-0 result over the New England Revolution on July 12, 2014 the starting point of this unfortunate stat.
