Toronto FC star forward Sebastian Giovinco has returned from an adductor injury to start off the bench in the second leg of the Amway Canadian Championship semi-final against the Montreal Impact.

Giovinco, who picked up the injury early in the Reds' last league match against the New York Red Bulls, missed the first leg of the competition as he recovered from a mild adductor issue; his team secured a 4-2 result against the Impact at BMO Field, with Jordan Hamilton playing up top in his absence.

The Atomic Ant has been instrumental in Toronto FC's successes since joining the club in January 2015, and has already scored eight goals and recorded five assists over 13 games in the 2016 campaign.

He returns having not missed a league encounter due to a two-week break taken to accommodate the Copa America Centenario.
