And breathe, Toronto FC supporters.

Head coach Greg Vanney has seemingly assuaged fears over the status of diminutive superstar Sebastian Giovinco, who suffered an adductor injury in Saturday's comprehensive 3-0 loss at the hands of the New York Red Bulls.

Giovinco, the reigning league MVP who leads the Reds with eight goals and five assists this season, left the contest in the 22nd minute, walking off the pitch in obvious discomfort.

Vanney, however, seemed optimistic after the contest that the Italian attacker avoided sustaining a serious ailment.

"I would say it doesn't look like anything significant in terms of the amount of time (he will miss)," Vanney was quoted as saying by the club's official website. "We'll see as we assess over the next 24 hours. I think he felt it coming on, and was able to probably catch himself at an appropriate time."

TFC is back in action Wednesday, with a Canadian Championship match against Montreal. The club's next MLS contest comes June 18 against the LA Galaxy.
