Fanendo Adi wins MLS Player of the Month for April

Reuters

Portland Timbers striker Fanendo Adi had himself a pretty decent April in the 2016 MLS season, so much so that the Designated Player was named the latest MLS Player of the Month.

Adi scored three goals and recorded one assist, and is the current joint-leader in the league's Golden Boot race with seven strikes to his name, tied with San Jose Earthquakes target-man Chris Wondolowski.

While the two may be level, Adi had the edge in the fan vote, beating out Wondolowski as well as LA Galaxy star Giovani Dos Santos, Toronto FC ace Sebastian Giovinco, and Colorado Rapids newcomer Jermaine Jones for the April prize.
