MLS Team of the Week highlighted by Jermaine Jones return

No stranger to excelling on a football pitch blanketed in snow, Jermaine Jones starred in his debut for the Colorado Rapids during Saturday's 2-1 victory over the New York Red Bulls, and he has been rewarded for his efforts by being named to the MLS Team of the Week.

The 34-year-old German-born U.S. international was traded to the Rapids in March in exchange for a first-round selection in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft and allocation money after failing to agree on terms with the New England Revolution.

A veteran of Bundesliga sides like Schalke, Bayer Leverkusen, and Eintracht Frankfurt, Jones scored the opener in the 21st minute for the third-place Rapids.
