VIDEO: Dom Dwyer fools defender to give Sporting KC 2-goal lead

Reuters

Give Dom Dwyer an inch of space, and you're going to regret it; the Sporting Kansas City forward just cannot stop scoring in recent days.

Facing a depleted New York Red Bulls back four at Red Bull Arena, any whiff at goal was destined to end in celebrations for the away team. It's why, when Dwyer and full-back-turned-central-defender Chris Duvall went in for a 50-50 challenge for an air ball in the box, it was the former who came out on top.

Dwyer punched home his team's second goal by the hour mark to give his team a 2-0 lead. For good measure, his goalkeeper, Tim Melia, preserved that 2-0 lead with a penalty save just a few minutes after.
