VIDEO: Desmond turns double play as center fielder

Never mind learning one new position, Ian Desmond is apparently rotating his way through the entire Texas Rangers outfield this spring. He's making it look easy, too.

The former All-Star shortstop made his second exhibition appearance in center field Wednesday against the Chicago Cubs, and quickly impressed when he robbed Tim Federowicz with a running basket catch at the wall before spinning around with a throw to get Jorge Soler at first base for the 8-3 double play.

Desmond signed a one-year deal with the Rangers this offseason after spending the previous seven seasons as the Washington Nationals shortstop. He's expected to be the starting left fielder in Texas this year.
