Zimmerman (foot) said Thursday that he's healthy enough to play right now if the games counted in the standings, and that the team is just being cautious in his preparation for the regular season, the Washington Post reports. "For us, being able to manage it and being a little more intelligent with the workload down here, all while getting in shape, conditioning in different ways," Zimmerman said. "I'll be fine with as many games, as many at-bats as I need to get. I'm not worried about that at all. Instead of jumping right back into games, we're taking the extra week to 10 days, making sure [my foot]'s really ready. I think it's a very intelligent approach."

Analysis:

He missed a significant portion of last season with plantar fasciitis, so the caution is understandable. While Zimmerman isn't showing any concern regarding his delayed start to spring training, fantasy players will probably want to see him in game action before making any kind of real investment in him for 2016.
