Detroit Tigers outfielder Justin Upton was no worse for wear after he left Tuesday's game against the Washington Nationals after teammate Anthony Gose stepped on his ankle.

"I'm flexible," Upton told reporters after the game, adding that he'll sit Thursday and then be re-evaluated Friday.

Upton and Gose got tangled up chasing a fly ball, which Gose successfully caught. In the process, however, Gose accidentally stepped on his teammate's left ankle, leaving Upton to walk slowly back to the clubhouse, according to Jason Beck of MLB.com.

The 28-year-old is in his first spring with Detroit after signing a six-year, $132.75-million deal in January.
