The Milwaukee Brewers have added a veteran arm to a mix of relievers vying for a bullpen spot, signing right-hander Blaine Boyer to a minor-league deal Friday which includes an invite to spring training.

Boyer, 34, had one of the best seasons of his career in 2015 while pitching for the Minnesota Twins.

The journeyman posted a career-best 2.49 ERA in 68 appearances across 65 innings of work, saving three games.
