The Los Angeles Angels are hoping for a picture-perfect day in May when they attempt to break one of the more obscure Guinness World Records.

On Tuesday, the club announced it will attempt to set the Guinness World Record for the "largest gathering of people using selfie sticks" during the Angels' May 6 home game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

The promotional initiative marks the seventh consecutive season that the Angels have attempted to break a world record. The selfie sticks, which are typically not permitted inside Angels Stadium, will be provided by the club, according to a team release.

Among the other highlights of the Angels' 2016 promotional schedule is a Mike Trout figurine giveaway on May 20 in honor of his wall-scaling grab that secured him the No. 1 Topps baseball card this upcoming season.
