Donaldson wishes luck to fellow MVP, Auburn alum Newton

The University of Auburn has earned some serious bragging rights over the past four months.
Toronto Blue Jays third baseman and former Tiger Josh Donaldson took home American League MVP honors in November. Meanwhile, Carolina Panthers quarterback and Auburn alumnus Cam Newton was named the NFL's MVP earlier this week, and will look to cap off an incredible year with his first Super Bowl title on Sunday.
Donaldson took a photo with Newton earlier this fall, offering it as a throwback ahead of Super Bowl 50 in San Francisco.

Donaldson starred for the Tigers from 2005-07, while Newton won the Heisman trophy with Auburn in 2010.
