Sixteen-year-old Cuban phenom Lazaro Robersy Armenteros Arango, better known as "Lazarito" Armenteros, could be coming to North America soon, and he could be making his home in the South.

The Atlanta Braves are expressing strong interest in the teenager, reports MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez.

He is expected to command a signing bonus in the $15-million to $20-million range, and will hold a private workout with Atlanta on Saturday, according to Sanchez.

Armenteros, who was cleared to sign by Major League Baseball in early January, will reportedly make a decision on a team by Feb. 10 - the first day he's eligible to sign.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound prospect is capable of playing outfield, first base, and third base.

Armenteros was named to the Under-15 all-tournament team at the Baseball World Cup in Mexico last year, after hitting .462 with five triples and eight RBIs in nine games.
